How many have already started, how many are done and how many are like me and just starting to think about it?

Not thought much about it yet. Usually go to Whitetop and pick out my own tree but rumor has it someone has cut trees locally for only $10, going to check it out tomorrow.

My neighbor had their tree up the day after Halloween! :confused2:

Oh man, I haven't even finished picking the Thanksgiving turkey carcass clean yet. Do I have to start thinking about Christmas already?

Normally I don't put up outside decorations until right around the 10th of December, but the wife was wanting to get started and after going through some bitterly cold weather earlier this fall, I went ahead and put them up yesterday while it was warm. Haven't plugged them up, but they're ready to go on the 10th.

Will have to try and start putting ours out this week in the calm before the storm so to speak. Both wife and I love Christmas. She becomes like a little kid in a toy store. Have been known in past to hide gifts all over the house starting with box under tree with a clue where to find the next one, kinda like a treasure hunt. Was great fun and when she got to the real deal wow. The fun had was priceless

The last few years all we have been able to do is put the tree up a week before Christmas and take it down 2 days after:eek:

This year we were able to get the tree up during Thanksgiving and decorate the whole house. That way we can enjoy it a few weeks.

I decorated some outside big red ribbons on post and outside arbors. We took the railing off the front porch since it obstructed our view when sitting so I did not have to put up lights and garland on the rails.

I wanted to buy some of the large bulbs ornaments that Lowes sells. They are about the size of volleyballs but they were $10-$12 each:eek:.

So having a degree in Frugal Engineering I told my wife we will buy a can of gold, red, and green spray paint. I have 12 nice large round gourds at home. I spray painted them drilled a hole and put wire and hung them on the fence...cost $9.00. And everyone that came over for Thanksgiving Dinner thought the were real glass/plastic ornaments.
