My big sugar maple already lost all it's leaves as well as the ash trees, so not much damage there but the oaks really took it bad, they still had 60% of their leaves. I have not even gone out there just what I can see from the window, I have alot of clean up to do. I also have monster evergreens 80-90 feet tall, don't see a single branch down under them, they're use to it I guess.
As far as those with out power, we never loose it except for a minute or 2. and I have all these plans on what to do with my pto genny when do loose it.
We do have the utility companies main headquarters in town, wonder if that has anything to do with it

but probably our close proximity to the main transmission line which is a mile away.
I was thinking during the hurricane when there were so many without power 2 months ago, that if that happened in the winter people would be freezing to death in their homes. Since the temps are in the 40's daytime I don't think that will happen now, but it does feel cold, when I opened the door this morning it felt like an ice box with all the snow on the ground, not like a fall day.
