Took my grandson out to find a Christmas tree and had a really great time. I hope it's something he remembers for a long time. How about some pics of your tree picking...

We've been going out to cut our own tree since my kids were about that age. Now my grandchildren aren't much older than that. This Saturday is when we are going out this year.

My best friend and i head north to a great Christmas tree farm every year to cut our tree. We even let my wife come along !! We meet my inlaws there, as well as my wife's sister and her family, and her brother. Its a fun family to-do i wouldn't trade for anything. The place we go has free coffee and hot chocolate, and for a small donation, will bring you down into the fields in a horse drawn hayride. Its definitely something i look forward to doing should we be lucky enough to have children (and grandchildren) in the future.

The wife is pretty, dog is cute, but nothing much to say about the other mug! Looks like a fun outing.

JohnK now I know what I have been doing wrong, all of these years. There are simple rules for picing out a tree,

1) have to give it a special look
2) then you have to smell it
3) if it smells good you cut it

One of my best memories is taking Aiden (my ex's son) to pick out a Christmas tree. It was the first time he went to pick out a tree and we got to cut it down ourselves so I let him help. He was happy and I love the look on his face as he picked out a tree.

I hope to do the same with Ava next year once we are back in our own home. Seeing these pics make me wish I could do it this year. Hopefully we will have more members post pics of thier kids picking out their Christmas trees:)
