Greetings to everyone.
Been a tractor guy ever since my uncle first let me drive his John Deere sitting on his lap. He ran the clutch and I got the steering and throttle. Now this was in the late 50s and I was a tyke, maybe 9. That Deere was, to the best of my recollection a '49 or '50 model. Loved that thing. Yes he did let me drive, almost hit the barn, he just said turn, then turn a little more, then turn a little more, ok that should be good. He never touched the steering wheel or hit the brake, just kept telling me to turn.
Anyway I'm well over 50 and I do like cigars, so what's a fella to do? Play, I mean work with a tractor of course. Got a little 11 acre lot in the Texas hill country. Have a Cub Cadet 104, I think it is a late 60s model, that I have had since 1984. Been dragging that thing with all over the country, including both coasts. Picked up a Cub Cadet/Yanmar SC2400 and while its a great machine, I may have to upgrade it a slightly larger unit. Probably something in the 35-40hp range.
Anyway, howdy to everyone!
