3-Point Hitch CK 25HST 3-Point Hitch Stuck in up position

I left my 3-Point hitch in the full up position (no implement attached) after parking the tractor in the garage about a month ago. This last weekend, I started up the tractor and let her fully warm up and then prepared to attach my carryall to the 3-point hitch. The hitch will not lower at all even with 250 lbs of weight applied to the arms. The control lever seems to be working normally and I can see that the linkage is operating at it enters into the transmission case.

Everything else seems to be working fine. No strange noises.

Any ideas ?

Did you try to turn the valve between you legs when on the seat?

A lot of us have had that experience. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif As mentioned by Rick Wallace, there is a valve at the back of the deck, just where your heels are while sitting, that adjusts how quickly the 3PT hydraulics release pressure and let the arms down. That should do it.

If the valve isn't the problem check the draft control. If you pulled it all the way back by mistake the arms won't lower.

The valve was the culprit. Somehow the valve had gotten totally shut off. I'd completly forgot about it even being there since I'd done my original set up with the brush cutter. I normally just have it cracked open for a slow drop but maybe I turned it closed with the heel of my shoe.
