ck 30 4x4 stuck in 4wd

my ck 30 has a manual trans, it is stuck in 4wd, checked the lever, it moves freely but will not unlock the front end. problem must be internal, would like to find a service manual or a expolded view of trans to see how big of job this is

Have you checked the external linkage, maybe got disconnected? Maybe lift the front end up with the loader and see if that helps. Sorry I don't have one, just some thoughts.

thnx for the reply, did check the linkages, took them apart & lubed all pivot points.
linkjage is moving as it should all the way to the side of the trans & that lever is moving,
just not taking it out of 4wd.

Well if the linkage is connected on the outside and moving freely, then it sounds to me like it has become disconnected inside in some way. Should be covered under warranty though. :thumbsup: I believe that there are manuals that you can download so that you can see what has to be done.

thnx for the info on the address for the manuals, tractor is an '04 or '05 warranty ran out a while ago, (but thats par for the course in my world), thnx again,
