Hello everyone,
I have a 2016 CK3510. I was operating the loader on this tractor when it stalled out on me. I went to restart it and it would not turn over. This also happened to me last summer a few times. I replaced the battery because it was completely dead and I was in a hurry to get my posts in the ground and did not have time to charge it. The new battery was installed and the tractor started right up. It died on me again a week later and the battery was dead again. I checked everything I could to see if something was turned on and everything was off. Each time that the tractor has stalled I had to either jump start it or replace the battery which I now realize was probably not necessary. Also each time it stalled I was using the loader or post hole auger but not in such a way that it would be maxing it out.
I have resorted to putting a battery tender on it so I know it will start. I don't think using the battery tender is a bad thing but I am concerned that it may die on me when I am using it and leave me stranded. Any thoughts on why when I try to restart it I have a dead battery? What would cause the battery to drain completely while it is running under normal conditions?
Thanks in advance for any advice on this.
