There are 2 grease fittings in this photo. One on the center pivot of the hydro pedal, and one on the bottom of the silver linkage. Both had never been greased on my tractor. When I greased them the pedal moved so much easier, that I was shocked. Also, both of the bolts holding the pedal on were loose. I bet most of the pedals have never been greased.

I have just GOTTA put together a checklist of zerks. They are way more of them than I can remember to get to when greasing.

Thanks for the tip.

No problem. I seem to find a new one every time I look at the tractor. I found one on the three point hitch control lever by accident also. I think making a checklist is a great idea.

I wish I could use the Lock n Lube. It is too big to fit on the recessed zerks on my loader.

Speaking of greasing, I have an issue I can't solve. Lower bucket pin on my ck27 was not taking any grease, so I removed it, cleaned it and tried again with no luck. No matter how hard I hold the grease gun to the zerk, it just pops of under pressure. I even bought one of those piston operated zerk cleaners... Still can't get grease into it so that it comes out on the other end. Upon closer inspection of the pin, it seems that grease is supposed to go into the middle of the pin, but there is no place for it to come out on the other side. So in essence, the zerk works, but the pin itself is full of grease with no place for it to go. I found this strange.,,,, Obviously need to check the pin on the opposite side, but curious if anyone ran into issue like this?

I have had similar issues. My solution was to have the attachment in different positions while greasing if possible. Sometimes tilting bucket or whatever your greasing makes a difference. It kind of takes the pressure off of the point where the grease fitting enters. As always use caution not to get pinched by something when greasing.

The grease doesn't come out the other end, it comes out in the center of the pin. Use a small drill bit to clean after removing the fitting, then blow out with air.

Be sure not to shear the bolt off in the end of the pin when you put it back together. Don't ask me how I know this...
