Good day all, finally tried out the backhoe on my CK20, until now only scratched the ground, we cut down 5 elm trees 10 inches diameter, then went at the roots, the backhow performed poorly the first hour due to me not knowing how to dig however after a hour things went way better, this machine has tons of power and with the right method easily ripped up roots over 2 inch diameter, in all it took 2 1/2 hours to dig it up, hardest part was getting the root out of the hole, could trap the root between bucket and arm but it easily lifted the front of the tractor off the ground.
I have the 16 inch bucket with teeth, big foot pads which will not hold the tractor solid due to the power of the backhoe, found the bolts holding the backhoe to the subframe eventually came loose, sure twists the subframe when the bucket got trapped under roots.
All in all I was suprised at both the power and efficency of this unit, had the camera with me but had so much fun playing had filled the hole before it came out, have 4 more and will take some pictures.
