CK20 going away?

My dealer picked up my CK20 today to get a backhoe on it and the driver told me that the rumor mill has it that the CK20 is going to be a new subcompact they are making, no more CK20 in the compact series, Only CK25 and up in the near future.

Anyone else hear of This?
If so will that do anything to the future trade in value of the CK20?

As far as I know it's a rumor, I wouldn't mind it though.
Put a CK25 motor in a CK20 Chassis Call it the CK25 LBA
Then shave a bunch of weight from the original 20 etc etc

Hmmmm How do you turn a CK20 into a subcompact......
Limit it's 3pt hitch width....
Cut the loader lift Cap in half....
Make bucket smaller.....
Remove 800lbs of cast iron....
Add plastic....and Aluminum....
Cut it's ground clearance in 1/2.....
Only offer it in an HST Model....
Make Remotes NON-Available....
Shrink the backhoe available for it....
Make the only Hoe buckets avail a 12" and 16".......

I kinda doubt that Kioti would ditch the CK20. They sell a lot of them and have just phased out it's predecesor the LB1914.

I wouldn't mind however if they stuck a 25hp engine in the CK20. That would be just about the only thing I'd do other than also give it a 3 range HST. Then they could drop the CK25 .

I wish they would have come out with the CK20 with the 25HP this year. i would have bought one. The weight of the 20 frame would be an awesome combo with the 25hp engine.

Here's "my" thoughts, since they have now upgraded the engine in the DK35 and used the old DK35 engine in the CK35, this all but eliminates the need for the CK25/30. The engine out of the CK25/30 will be dropped into the CK20 (new CK20+) and they can eliminate the CK25/30 and will have fewer model's to have to deal with and one in each HP range. Make sense?

I have a great idea......
Since we are doing all this swapping around lets just put the 35hp engine in the CK20 and make a small medium and big framed model

The CK35 SFM (former CK20)
The CK35 MFM (former CK35)
The CK35 BFMF (former DK35)

I like the idea of the 25hp in the CK20 chassis, and keep the ck20. That way you have 2 hp options in both chassis. I may have gone for the smaller chassis with the 25hp motor, but I really like my ck35.

That is what Kubota does with the B7510 and B7610 and also what JD does too with the same size machines.

BTI just wants to pop wheelies with his 35hp CK ex-20.
