My pedal is very hard to push, especially in the Low Gear setting.
It is harder to push in the reverse position.
It also sticks
I have lubed it, helps a little but it should 'spring back' to neutral?

Any suggestions.

This has been a topic quite a few times. You say you lubed it, but unless you get up under the tractor a bit, following the linkage and use something like PB Blaster or WD 40, you don't get the lube in the right place.
If you follow the linkage, moving the pedal while watching, you'll see there is a rounded piece on the side of the transaxle that moves back and forth. Spray up in there with the PB Blaster (preferable to WD) move the pedal back and forth a few times and spray again.
If you have trouble locating the spot, let me know and I'll post a picture of the area.
This should take care of the problem, and I do it at least every week or so.

Thanks John,
My dealer said he needs to replace the cylinder. It has 105 hours on it (1 year old), He took it this summer to lub it?
What do you think?
Please send a pic. Maybe I will just do that instead of being without it for a week(or more).

Thanks

I'll go out and get some pics right now. I'll post within the hour. John

There is a "kit" to change the cruise control clamping mechanism inside the "trans" housing. Sometimes the original creates drag on the pedal. We ordered the kit for one of our customers and a few days later, when it came in, his had freed up on its own. Have you run much this season yet?

The WD-40 may help, then run it a bit before you take it in.
Might save you the week and the trouble too...

Well, I got to it much faster than I thought I'd be able to. This one picture should be enough. Simply spray into the round piece from up top, and then find the underneath and spray in from that angle. Make sure you move the pedal back and forth (tractor off) after each spraying to work the lube into the linkage. If you still have problems after that, you'll need the dealer to take care of it.

It runs most weekends and when it snowed. I have been using it this season.
It's a nuisance. You have to be very careful around 'fixed' objects that you care about and don't want to repair(when you hit/run over them).
The pedal sometimes sticks and lurches.
There are times when you have to literally stand on it in reverse.
