I searched high and low,, there is nothing on the net on removing the CK20 injector pump?
The CK20 appears to be completely different than the CK25/30 series as far as access to the right side of the engine.
Mine is a 2008 CK20S
So far:
-I removed the hood, 2 bolts that have cotter pins, easy.
-Engine is DOA, so I can not remove the FEL.
-Sprayed Gunk degreaser and let sit for 30 minutes, Then power washed.
-Removed the fuel cut off soleniod.
-Removed the 3 injector hard lines, and capped with rubber plugs (I by assortment packs from Amazon)
-Removed the rubber air filter to intake hose.
-Unhooked the breather hose from the valve cover.
-Now, Time to remove the intake manifold,, The very stiff steering hydro lines ARE in the way, big time.
It took about 20 minutes to undo the 6 bolts holding the manifold on, 1/4 drive ratchet, and every bolt required a different depth 10mm socket and various length ext. And twisting my hand into places not big enough.
(I was seriously thinking about removing the steering hoses.)
-I could not get the intake manifold out of there, due to the steering hoses,, I did rotate the front up about 4 inches and out of the way.
So here I am,,, whats next??
Do I just take the 4 bolts/nuts off the top and lift the pump out ??
Do I have to remove anything else to free and internal linkage to the pump controls?
