I searched high and low,, there is nothing on the net on removing the CK20 injector pump?

The CK20 appears to be completely different than the CK25/30 series as far as access to the right side of the engine.
Mine is a 2008 CK20S
So far:

-I removed the hood, 2 bolts that have cotter pins, easy.
-Engine is DOA, so I can not remove the FEL.
-Sprayed Gunk degreaser and let sit for 30 minutes, Then power washed.
-Removed the fuel cut off soleniod.
-Removed the 3 injector hard lines, and capped with rubber plugs (I by assortment packs from Amazon)
-Removed the rubber air filter to intake hose.
-Unhooked the breather hose from the valve cover.
-Now, Time to remove the intake manifold,, The very stiff steering hydro lines ARE in the way, big time.
It took about 20 minutes to undo the 6 bolts holding the manifold on, 1/4 drive ratchet, and every bolt required a different depth 10mm socket and various length ext. And twisting my hand into places not big enough.
(I was seriously thinking about removing the steering hoses.)
-I could not get the intake manifold out of there, due to the steering hoses,, I did rotate the front up about 4 inches and out of the way.

So here I am,,, whats next??
Do I just take the 4 bolts/nuts off the top and lift the pump out ??
Do I have to remove anything else to free and internal linkage to the pump controls?

- I was able to snake the intake manifold out of the way
- I removed the idle adjustment device on (just below and to the rear of the IP)
- I loosened the 4 bolts/nuts for the access plate just above and the rear of the stop solenoid.
- I loosened the 4 nuts/bolts holding the IP in
- I used carb cleaner and did a thorough cleaning of the top before removing the access plate and pump.
(the hard paint chips get everywhere when cracking loose nuts/bolts)
- Removed the access plate
- removed the 4 bolts/nuts holding the IP in, it lifted right out.

I am guessing it will go back in,, in reverse

I sure hope so! Let us know how it goes. Did you consider timing? That is the important part when reinstalling the pump.

Besides the metal shim between the pump and engine block, is there any timing that comes in play?

I am not sure on your engine. I would think the gear has a mark that needs to line up with a mark on the drive gear. The service manual should describe the correct procedure to reinstall the pump.

No, no additional timing.. just the shims under the pump..
