Kioti CK20
New owner of a 2006 Kioti CK20 with FEL. Really like the tractor so far.http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif Much more capable than I thought it would be. I need to change the engine oil and haven't had a chance to get an owners manual.Could someone post the amount of oil required for a change with filter replacement?

Thanks

Welcome to the pack!
I use a Napa 1334 oil filter and Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 15W-40. I get the oil at Wal-mart and the fiter at my local Napa auto parts store. Napa also has the air filter, 6449 and fuel filter, 3389.

Oops! Duh! :ashamed: I guess I told him eveything but what he asked for. Mine takes close to 3.5 quarts with a filter change. I kinda sneak up on it. I put in enough oil to bring the level up to the high level mark, then start it up and run it a few minutes to fill the filter, shut it off. Wait 1/2 an hour, then top it off.

3.5 quarts?
I've never used a whole 3 quarts, I put about 1/2 a quart in the filter and 2 in the engine then start and run for a bit before checking. It usually takes another 1/4 of a quart or so but never a full 3 quarts.

Everyone,
Thanks very much for the information. This is a great forum for a Kioti owner and I have already gained quite a bit of practical information from here.

You put 1/2 a quart in the new filter? Hummmm. I make a big enough mess trying to get the old filter off since it is mounted sideways. How do you keep the oil in the new filter while screwing it on? I went out and took a look again at what is left in the 5 quart container and it looks like there is about 1 1/2 quarts still in the container. My tractor oil level after setting over night is just a pinch (1/16") over the full mark right after I changed it. Not sure why mine holds more oil, didstick manfacturing difference, oil pan difference?
