Is there any benefit to installing the woods plumbing? or can I just use the factory remotes ?
Does the hyd fluid cycle had to the sump when the backhoe controls are not "in use" ? or will
the pump "deadhead" if I use the factory rear remote?
Woods sells a generic hydraulic hookup package that assumes you will connect to your
tractor's implement pump pressure circuit between 2 valves, usually between FEL and
3-point.
Kioti wants hoes to be powered by the AUX valve they sell, for both IN and OUT. This
is true of both the CK20 and the CK25/30/35. I have installed the AUX valves on both
the 20 and 30. I did not run one of my hoes on the 20, however.
I have powered my hoe for many years this way. It is not ideal in that the hyd flow has
to go thru the body of the AUX valve constantly, which heats the oil. I have tried
sending the OUT flow of the hoe to a fitting I made on the oil fill spout. It did help
in that the oil did not heat as much, but I would get oil backflow up the vent tube when
running fast. I am back to the previous setup.
For a future project, I would like to install my hoe plumbing before the AUX valve,
and dump to the sump at a better dedicated place. Do do so requires you
modify the Kioti hardline/banjo pressure tubing, and drill into the case somewhere
for the return.
If you do it this way, which is better, you will have to reconnect the pressure lines
that you have broken into for the hoe when the hoe is off. This completes the tractor
pressure circuit, and will send all fluid to relief if you do not.
