Having the 50 hour service done and the dealer just called and mentioned the front tie rod has a nice big bend in it, I never noticed. Just wanted to know what the average price for the tie rod is, I know location might change that alittle bit, but sort of just making sure he is not waaaay off on the price. He mentioned he could try and bend it back, but I would think that might weaken the metal.
Thanks
ED

I would not normally respond in this Forum, but as a traitor to my "color" I welcome you to TBN :D! I have been pretty impressed with the Kioti CK20's- I have been "tractor shopping" for a friend who should have bought a tractor 25 years ago . IMHO rebending metal weakens it. I had to respond to your avatar. Jay :D

I bent mine on my CK25. I just took it off and beat it straight with a sledge and reset the tow. The rod doesn't need to be that strong for what it's meant to do. So, straightening should be ok unless it's pretzeled. I've been using mine for several months now with no problem. Tow hasn't change any either. I did check on a the cost of a new for the CK25. It was about $40 as I recall. The new one for the CK25 is also heavier diameter than my original.

I bent mine on my ck30 within 15 minutes of getting the tractor!

IMHO it looked better bent (there's a picture in this forum somewhere) than straight, and of course will give more clearance in the future.

I just adjusted the front wheel toe to toe (1/4" in i remember, but check) and went on with life.

Thanks for the feedback.
I don't want to bend it either, dealer called and said it was about $25, so new one on the way.
My local dealer is a really good guy.

Bent mine too. Took it to a friend who works at a forging factory. They have straighteners there. 10 minutes later, good as new. Bending them back into shape generally won't mess them up. KEEP THE OLD ONE! You can have it bent or bend it back yourself and have a spare. Take it with you if you do work off-site and think you'll run the risk of bending it.

got a new tie-rod, only $25 so not bad at all, kept the old one also.
Had the cold start recall taken care of and she fires right up with no problem.
