Everything went smooth with the CK20HST w/KL120 pickup yesterday (Friday). Left home at 6:30 AM to drive an hour to pickup the rental trailer then about 4 hours down to Wallace Tractor & Equipment to pickup the tractor. After some instructions and a test drive, Rick loaded the tractor and we were on our way home. Arrived home at 7:30 PM last night having made a 546 mile round trip. The trailer towing with the tractor aboard was really solid with never a wiggle. Up this morning early to return the trailer by 7 AM. Now I can relax and enjoy my new machine!

Wow, that's a lot of driving. I hope you got a really good deal and I hope you have a closer dealer just in case.

Congrats on the new tractor, I can't wait myself. What did you use for a tow vehicle and how did it go. I am contiplating finding a used or new trailer to transport the tractor, but I do only have a 1/2 ton truck (with a 9800lb towing capacity).

A 7,000 lb trailer should be fine for the CK20. Brakes on both wheels will make it much easier to stop. Not all states require brakes on both. Your truck should do fine. I wouldn't want to haul it everyday with a half ton. Just get the tractor and whatever else you have balanced properly on the trailer so the trailer is holding most of the weight but make sure you do have some tongue weight or the trailer will sway back and forth. I've seen people lose a trailer that way.

I rented a U-Haul 6'X12' double axle open trailer. Empty the trailer was 1760 lbs. and max load was 2640 lbs. The CK20HST plus loader and bucket came to somewhat over 2666 lbs. so I was hauling a gross weight of about 4426 lbs. Tow vehicle is a 2002 Isuzu Axiom SUV and it pulled this like a dream. Proper loading does make a differance, must have some hitch weight. The trailer had its own hydraulic brakes (not sure if it was both axles or just one) and they worked fine.
I am also looking for a trailer, most likely a 6'X12' and now I think a double axle (before I was thinking single axle). I am sure a landscape type trailer will be lighter than the U-Haul I rented, it had metal floor and sides. Will try to send photos if I can figure out how to do it.
