CK25 front axle overfill

Just changed my front axle fluid for the 400hr service and managed to overfill it. The bulls eye-glass is completely flooded. When I peer into the fill hole with a flashlight, it looks like it is about 2/3 full. I know I'm just being lazy, but I can't see any reason to drain it down. The oil just sloshes around on the gears so I can't see that it can hurt anything (unlike an overfull crank case for example). If anyone knows something I'm overlooking I'd appreciate a heads up. My sight glass is in the middle of the axle housing on a CK30hst. If you look in the fill hole, you'll see the axle shaft in the housing. If the shaft is half in oil, your half full and correct by the sight glass. I can just see the very top of the axle shaft on mine and have had no problems. There is an axle vent with a hose attached that goes up into the engine compartment just to the right side of the battery. This would keep pressure from building if the oil gets warm and keep any seals from blowing out or having oil pushed past them. If you're 2/3 full, I wouldn't worry about. Most of the time after a refill, if you drive it around a bit, the oil level goes down after it flows into air pockets in the axle ends.

Does your sight glass have a circle in it? If so there should be a white ball that floats in the red circle and when centered, on level ground will indicate the axle is full. DK series has this feature, don't know if CKs do.
2nd on driving around after filling to verify level.
