CK25 Head Gasket

Hey guys, gonna start a head gasket repair on a CK25, 1000 hours. No oil or coolant mix, no white exhaust but radiator bubbling like a jacuzzi with exhaust gasses coming out. No bueno. Have the manual. Looks pretty straight forward but not finding the flywheel "peek" window for the timing marks. Has anyone done one of these. Would imagine CK27, CK30, CK35 probably the same?As always thanks in advance for your help!

Make sure you have all the parts and torque specs before you start. Are the headbolds (torque to yield)?
Nothing worse than having to stop working and wait for something you over looked.
I have done a lot of truck engine head gaskets. As long as you have a good manual, and all the parts you need, it should be fairly easy. I presume you are experienced in this area.

Yep, torque to yield bolts. Done quite a few car and truck head gaskets but never a diesel. Looks pretty straight forward but like I said I can't seem to locate this timing window on the flex plate/fly wheel. Anyone have experience with it?

The site window to flywheel marks gets cover up by the loader mount frame. Have to remove the loader mounting frame to see it.

Why do you need to get to the timing window?
Does the engine have over head camshafts?
I just presumed these little diesel engines were cam in block push rod.

Hey all this post is a little old but the latest one I could find. I'm pretty sure the head gasket went this morning. Lots of sweet smelling white smoke and bubbles in the over flow . Sure I can tackle the fix , I dont have a repair manual though can anyone help me out?

Repair was pretty straight forward, I didn't need manual except for head bolt torque specs which is 80 ft lbs, valve cover bolts are 8 ft lbs. Need new bolts for heads as they are torque to yield. Got all parts from local Kioti dealership. Don't forget to remove negative battery terminal before you start work. Probably 2 hrs, take your time and have fun.

do i need to remove the fuel tank ? the dealer said he would send the necessary pages from the service manual so that should help .

yep. As you work your way to the head it'll be painfully obvious what needs to come off and what you can loosen and just move out of the way.
