I bought my CK2510 about a year ago and the tractor has about 140 hours. I attempted to start the unit which is kept in a garage that is kept at 40*.. It was a nice day today and the outside thermometers were about 40* . The tractor had not been started for at least two weeks and the engine turned over a bit slow indicating a low battery. None the less I saw the glow plug light appear but the tractor failed to start. Eventually the engine fired and the diesel ran for about 20 seconds and then abruptly stopped. The glow plug lights would not come on after that and the unit failed to start on subsequent trys.

The battery was low and needed about 2 " of water. It was thought a charging of the battery would remedy the no start condition but it did not. The glow plugs failed to come back as well and the unit won't start.

Anyone have any ideas. I will call my dealer tomorrow.

When you did get it running and it stopped after 20 seconds usually indicates it ran out of fuel. Has the fuel filter been changed yet.
Glow plugs resistance can easily be tested with an ohmmeter once disconnected from the tractor. You can also use the voltmeter to check to see if they are getting power. If no power maybe the timer may not be working or a fuse may be blown. Check all the fuses.
It is possible the glow plugs could have failed. I replaced 3 sets on a Mahindra 2615HST (one set about every 100 hours). Mahindra came out with a glow plug upgrade kit for the 15 series tractors after numerous complaints so I bought the upgrade kit which included a new timer, harness, and different number glow plugs.

I know zero about the 2510. But if this was a CK25 I'd be inclined to check the ignition switch first. Like George said, it ran out of fuel. But did that happen because the actual fuel ran out or was plugged? Could there be an ice plug or other blockage in the fuel feed? Could air be leaking into the fuel lines? Or could a failing ignition switch be dropping power to the stop solenoid? A wonky ignition switch would be consistent with the no-glow indication.
