OK, I know this isn't the first person comparing these two power levels of the CK frame. I'm deciding between these two, open ROPS though I might add the field cab later.
Uses:
-frequent snow removal, unsure if PTO blower or front blade
-frequent field mowing with a flail or brush hog, size 5' or 6'
-occasional rototilling
-various loader work
-want to move 4x5 round bales
I think the 2610 would have enough power for most of my uses, but its KL2610 loader is rated for only 1250lbs at the pivot pins, which is probably marginal or inadequate for round bales. The KL4010 loader that goes with the CK3510 is rated for over 1800lbs, which should be fully adequate. I can't figure out why the KL4010 loader isn't available to install on the CK2610, because they have the exact same frame and hydraulic pump rating.
If it weren't for the loader, I would probably choose the CK2610 due to the simpler emissions equipment (no particulate filter) and lower cost.
Questions:
-is it possible to install the KL4010 loader on the CK2610H HST tractor? If not, why not?
-has anyone tried using a CK2610 with the KL2610 (standard) loader to move round bales or anything similarly heavy? How did it go?
-for my other uses, do I really need the extra power of the CK3510 anyway?
FYI, I have about 8 years of prior tractor experience with a Kioti DK40SE HST and a Deere 5105. I moved 4x5 round bales with both of them with no issues at all, and did the same range of tasks except for rototilling.
