Ford 8N
Ok, going to take the plunge soon on a New Tractor, I just can't keep my dads ford 8N's running very well anymore. I think I've settled on the CK2610H with FEL. With no negotiating the Cash price is $17520. Does this sound like a reasonable price? All 3 local dealers are within twenty bucks of each other. One has a used 2yr old one with 180hrs on it for $15500. Leaning towards the new one, just for the warranty.

This will be mainly for odd jobs and mowing with a brush hog. I thought about getting a Root rake/Grappel of some sort for working around the woods.

He priced me $450 for a rear remote. Not sure what he's going to charge yet to have the tires loaded. So, whats the trick to negotiations on these compact tractors? Do you try and work in the remote and loading the tires or??

You will want a third function on your FEL if you intend to get a grapple.
Around here there the demand seems high enough there is much negotiating on price. I did get some knocked off a top & tilt. And they loaded the tires and delivered for free.

The rear remotes are a pair so that's good. And yes you'll want the 3rd function for the grapple. Kioti makes there own 3rd function remote. I had my dealer install one in my tractor and it works great. I'd recommend going with Kioti 3rd function.

You should tell him all the goodies you want and see what he can do for you on price. Maybe he'd throw in the first maintenance for your business or loaded tires.

Ok, got some further numbers

$17520 for the 2610H
$420 for the dual rear remotes
$152 floor mat
$210 bolt on Cutting edge
$300 to load the tires
$765 3rd function

I might hold off on the 3rd function for now and see if I can do some of the things I want done with the bucket and maybe do the grapple next year. The dealer thats a bit further is the same price on the tractor but is throwing the floor mat and cutting edge in for free. So, there is a bit of wiggle room.

You are going to want the grapple. I've done brush work with a bucket. You can knock things down and pop out roots, but then all you can do is push it around. Much easier to pick up and move. And lifting logs is way better.

If you are financing at all just have the 3rd function put on now. I ended up with a WR Long, 3rd function. Dealer installed. It's really clean and you don't end up with that big box on the right side like the Kioti one.

Where are you located? Your profile doesn't say. Do you get below freezing temps? Because you can load the tires with plain water for next to nothing.

Otherwise your quoted prices are about right.
I looked at the 2610 for a minute, but wanted a little more HP. For just a little more you can get a 3510se. It includes the rear remotes, floor mat, and has linked peddle, cruise control, tilt steering, etc. A 3510se HST with FEL should be about $21,500.

You can also mix in a few gallons of RV antifreeze in each tire if you need some freeze protection, but aren't somewhere super cold. Figure 4-6 gallons per tire and it should be available for about $2/gallon. The fitting to adapt a water hose to the tire valve is available on Amazon. I used a sump pump with a water hose sitting in a 55 gallon barrel to fill mine. The only caveat is that it won't weigh as much as beet juice.
