As I'm sitting here day dreaming about driving it today I just thought of something. It was my first time driving an HST tractor. Coming from my old Ford 3000 with no power steering gear tractor the CK27 was so easy to drive. Something just dawned on me. I'm not going to be able to let on to my wife how easy it is or I'll never get to use it again.

We'll looks like I will end up going with a Kioti CK27 HST. The Mahindra dealer just wants too much money. I sat down with the Mahindra dealer and he gave me a quote on a 3016 and a 3616 HST, both with two rear remotes from fit right with TNT setup, sunshade, and FEL for $24153 on the 3616 and $21090 on the 3016. That was including all fees with $2500 down and including insurance. I left there and went to see the Kioti dealer which I have talked to many times over the last few months. He gave me a quote on a CK27 HST with FEL, sunshade, two rear remotes, bucket hooks, filled tires, brand new 6 foot Kioti finish mower, and a nice used post hole digger with auger all for $19500 out the door. Pretty good deal I think. I just sold my boat that was on consignment at a boat dealer so as soon as they get the loan on it paid off I'll be moving forward on that deal.

You won't be disappointed. Sounds like a great setup you're getting.

I'm sure everyone has told you but it bears repeating...here on TBN when you say you've gotten yourself a new machine, we all know it didn't really happen until there are pictures!

I didn't mind the treadle peddle at all. Kind of liked it actually.

It's been almost 2 years since I bought my CK20 HST with FEL and let me tell you I LOVE the HST, I have moved a lot of dirt (leveled the back yard and moved the spoil from digging a pool). SOOOO much easier with the HST.

Oh believe me. When I do get it, I'll post pictures. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks.

After I left the Mahindra dealer on Friday he emailed me the quote sheet saying he forgot to give it to me before I left, which he had already given me a different quote sheet that broke it down more with all the fees and everything individually. But anyways I was looking at my emails again this morning and pulled up his quote. I just can't get over how high a price they're asking. I can get a Kioti DK40 for the price he's asking for a 3016. I just got a quote on a DK40 HST with FEL a few weeks ago for $22,300 and he's asking $22,860.00 for a 3016. The only other option added difference would be the sunshade and that's only a $500 difference or so. Attached is the quote sheet he sent me. I took off the company name and my personal info off the sheet. Didn't want to throw the dealers name out on here like that.

A lot of that price difference could be sales programs. I think Kioti has the Free Loader program going on and if Mahindra doesn't that is $3000 - $4000 for the loader.

Yeah...that's how I ended up with my DK40, it was the most tractor for what I wanted to spend. That was 12 years ago and I've never regretted my decision, only thing I've had to fix was a broken tach cable $8.00...awesome machine, Mike.

My experience as well. The cost of the DK40HST was actually the same and sometimes less than some of the slightly smaller machines we were considering. When the backhoe was added with all the promotions and haggling we could do we were still looking at less overall then some of them. Not always that much of a difference but when considering what you get as compared it just felt right to go with the DK40
