Price Check CK27 price check and general ????

Hi all, new to the forum and tractors in general.

I own 6 acres in Nova Scotia of which are roughly three acres pasture which I intend to mow two or three times a year. The rest of the time my horses will look after that. Roughly 1 acre is lawn around the houses and barn and the rest is mostly wooded. I plan to clean my ditches from now on myself, keep my gravel driveway, roughly 750 feet, in order and move some horse manure around.

I'm currently looking at a CK27 gear and got the following quotation from my local Kioti dealer (Proudfoot Motors in New Glasgow). Local means roughly two hours drive away.

When I look at some of the recently posted US prices I could cry, but can't do anything else.

I have absolute no experience with such equipment and would like to know f.e. how easy it is to detach/attach the backhoe and FEL. That bothers me most.

Hi:

I just bought a CK25,gear,with hoe,FEL,4,foot whistler rough mower,and Wallenstine 4" chipper,there is a 6 foot box blade on order; Tolal price was just a tad under 30,000 HST inc. The dealer installed a mech. thumb on hoe, skid plate to protect the hyd. filter,as well as 2 hooks on front bucket;all included. I haven't taken off the FEL as of yet,however as for the hoe its been on and off sometimes 3 times a day,we have it down now to less than 10 min.,the key is have a level area to remove and put on.
We use the tractor in our landscaping business,and after 125 hours in the past 8 weeks can't find a fault....oops the seat is coming apart at the seam on the top back,dealer will fix. actually its no big deal so I will fix myself. I am more than happy with the tractor and the dealer,(Kings Equipment),in fact if my business can support it I will be buying another next spring,however thats up in the air.I have to see how we do this summer however so far its been very busy.

There is a signficant price difference between the CK25 and the CK27, but not a significant power different (IMHO) if you can find a CK25 you can save a few bucks. (I have a few CK25s in stock here in Arkansas by the way ;-)

Ok, I was freaking out for a minute. You had your trans listed above and then you had HST listed and I was like HUH!?!?!?!?!?

Bluechip is right. You should be able to get a better deal on a CK25. I paid just under $20K for a CK25 TLB gear, with scraper blade and PHD, loaded tires, and grill guard. Of course this was 2 years ago now. Too bad the CK35 with free loader isn't available in Canada.

I know that I probably could get a better deal on a CK25. But according to my local dealer he is completely sold out on CK25's. The next nearest dealer is not answering to my enquiry so I guess I'm out of luck. The same happened with my JD dealer as well. When I dropped in, he rarely took notice of me and after 30 minutes I left, tired of waiting for him.

@ Oldtrout. Thank you very much for your detailed answer. I found also your post about your Wallenstein chipper. And that was all included in the sale?! Wow, great deal. Do you know if your dealer has an email address. I'm currently working overseas and will return Aug. 07th and want then to make my purchase. Maybe he is interested to sell me something similar.

I was there yesterday,picked up my filters,for the 100 hour service.I happened to mention that the back of my seat was seperating at the seam,not a big deal for me a bit of contact cement would fix,Mike said "forget it I'll order in another seat and drop it off the next time I go past" . Now that is what I call service . I can't say anything but good things about the dealership,they are a great bunch of guys,and not a complaint about the toys...oops tractor.

I just received a quote from your dealer for a CK27 and was a little bit shocked.
