CK30 Charging Problem fixed

If you look at part 1 and 2 ck30 charging problem thread it will tell you about the problem I was having. Long story short it was the PRE HEATER CONTROL. Took one day in the shop to repair. I want to say thanks to everyone for all the help and suggestions with this problem.

Nice to hear that all is well again. Thanks for saying what was causing the short. Add it to the list along with headlight relays. It's also nice to know that the dealer took care of you and quickly. Did they mention how they found the problem? Always looking for ways to better diagnose problems like yours.

I just spoke to the guy in the service dept. He told me that this was a common problem on larger model kioti's sometime ago.. So he had some idea what to look for.What he did was charge the battery. Reinstall the battery, disconnected the negitive cable, then reattach the negative cable, when he heard a click coming from the control he knew it needed to be replaced.This control is mounted on the fire wall its about 2in x 3in.. He also said sometimes these controls can work them self loose. Its easy to get too just clean the connectors and reconnect. I dont know the cost of the unit because my ck30 is under warrarnty.This was my first experience having work done under warrarnty,they couldnt have treated me better.
