I was walking by my CK30 the other day and heard a clicking sound coming from it. The key was not in the ignition and it had been sitting for a week or so since I last used it. It is an outside tractor since I don't have a garage or shed to put it in. I pulled the four way flasher switch out and the tempo of the clicking changed but no flashing lights. I pushed the switch off and the clicking stopped. The next day it was clicking on its own again. I can pull the switch out and in and it will stop for a while. But after 5 or 10 minutes it starts clicking again. I pulled the four way flasher out because I can feel it clicking. I don't know whether to order a new flasher or switch??? Any ideas?

First things first I would try cleaning the relay contacts and using dielectric grease on the contacts. But if your machine is exposed to the elements and not covered in anyway I would replace the combination switch ( light switch) they arent weather tight like you would think and can cause some serious problems with corrosion

In addition to what Someguyss said I'd check your fuse block and make sure all fuses are intact, and there is no evidence of corrosion or rust, etc. The flasher circuit may not be fused BUT making sure the fuse block is clean and not causing any bad grounds, faults, arcing, is good to know. Also make sure your battery posts/terminals and ground to chassis is clean/lubed to protect against corrosion.
If that fails call and Exorcist!
