So after removing, fixing and reinstalling my broken rad I filled it up with coolant flush/ water and fired it up. No leaks from the repair, but there was lots if white smoke and the rad was bubbling like a boiling kettle! Shut the tractor down and called it a night. Went back the next day after work and found the coolant was low again and it was now hydrolocked. Checked engine oil, all good and no oil in coolant. Pulled glow plugs and spun motor which blew coolant out of cylinders. Took exhaust pipe off and coolant visible in manifold (see pic).

I have read it is possible to blow a gasket between cylinder and water jacket to cause the symptoms I have with no mixing of oil and coolant. I’m hoping that is all it is and not something more major (crack in head, etc).

I have a new gasket and bolts ordered. Is there anything else I might need or should think of replacing at this time? I’m planning to do it myself. Doesn’t appear to be too bad. Anything to be aware of besides bolt pattern for removal and torquing on reassembly? It’s a 2014 CK30HST.

Thanks in advance.
