Too late to help I think but..

Big drain pan, that stuff really comes out quickly so I wouldn't try the single small drain pan tecknique where you try and put the plug back in while you empty the drainpan midway. Remember to drain the side housings for three total drain plugs.

I left the hyudraulics items settting on the ground so not fully retracted. I've looked for this information in the manual but it only seems to say park the warmed tractor on level ground to check fluid level. Not even clear if it says to run the engine while checking level or not.

I would fill to the full line, run it work the hydraulics, drive around, and then refill as needed.

The engine oil drain plugs were 19 mm but the tranny drain sizes escape me. A good adjustable wrench will work since they are not very tight and use a rubber gasket.

The flitter wrench is sold next to the left hand screwdrivers and the Honda V-Tec fluid!
After all my preventive maintenance hoopla, I left one of the two flitters at home---due to some parts issues getting the wrong ones initially when I stocked up on some 6 mos ago---give me a break- dad of two teenagers, business owner, homeowner, rec property owner...can I retire now???

There was some metallic flake on the drain magnets resembling casting flake and some amount of super fine metallic break in metals resembling about the size of metallic paint fleck- likely why the manufacturer wants a 50 hour drain.
I'll install the floorboard filter next visit to the tractor---still has only 45 hrs.
I drained old one and reinstalled due to fact I THOUGHT I had both filters and DIDN'T!!
So I have new oil, one new filter, one drained and reinstalled old filter, new oil, new second filter next visit.

I found about 5.5 gal came out and 7 to fill---I think it was down a bit and one needs to dip the stick a couple times to get a true reading as opposed to just pulling it out the one time and looking at it.

Oh, and no loader cracks present....

This is also very late but for future I beleive your hydraulic rams are all dual acting. So no matter the position they are full. Just put the rams in a position for safety and just change your oil. You can't get the oil out without pulling the hoses and I never have heard of anyone doing that. That is also why they don't give you a position for when checking the level.

Maybe some Kioti mechanics here can verify what I said above.

Just a thought...wouldn't the cylinders hold less fluid back vs forward??
Back the cylinder rod is in the tube and forward the entire tube is full.

Where do you get the trans fluid in 5 gal buckets? All I can find are individual quarts. Lots to carry and I would assume more expensive.

Thanks

I get mine through one of the chain auto stores like AutoZone or AdvanceAuto here in the NE. Tractor Supply Company is another source and maybe Agway. Check with your tractor dealer too, they usually have competitive prices.

Go down to the figure 3 the dual acting cylinder. You are right that fully extended you would have more in the cylinder. However, I don't think much. Remember when the cylinder is in you have oil around the cylinder. I don't think it would be enough to change the level on your system much especially with the larger amounts in your system. I had the same question when I first got my New Holland and the dealer told me it does not make a difference.

Sorry on the link as I don't see how to post a link with this new forum.
