It could be that simple. Have you tried it.

Nope, was towards the end of the day and my tools are in storage. I’m going to run out in the morning and give it a try though

More likely the hardline is fractured at the ferrule, as in the photo. You can't really see it
until you back off the nut.

I put a guard around mine, as it is very exposed to impact, as you found out.

Was it difficult to replace?

I've had to a few of these type hard lines and I ended up making a fitting to adapt to rubber hose. These were for machines on rough terrain all the time.

About a 1/2 turn of the nit fixed it

Anyone know how much hydraulic fluid he ck30 is suppose to hold

7.9 gal. I’m sure that is with a dry sump and new filters.

I have not had to replace this particular hardline on my CK30, but I was worried
about getting it whacked. The filter hangs down underneath also, with a "hit me"
sign on it.

The photo I posted was of a similar hardline that got whacked, but this one was
inside a McCormick HST tractor. In that case, I was able to rebend the line a bit,
cut 5/8" off the end, replace the ferrule and reassemble.

A similar thing could be done with the Kioti, but impact protection and possibly conversion
to hoses as CHEVY did still makes sense.
