CK30 - HYST OR GEAR ??? OWNERS PLEASE HELP..

hey guys, i know this is a loaded question across the board, but specifically on the Kioti CK30, do you guys recommend the gear or hyst. I will be finish mowing about 4 acres with 6ft mower: working about a 1 acre garden, and using loader for some landscape , dirt fill around my new house, and fixing my driveway with a box blade..... do you think the hyst or gear would better suit me? Any opinions are appreciated..

Then go try a gear and HST at the dealer like you plan to when you get it home. Some dealers also have home trials.

For what your doing my vote is HST.
If you were plowing I'd say gear.

demo...demo...demo... That's the ONLY way to answer the question, doesn't matter how much you read. I tried the SS from TYM and liked it. Tried the HST on the TYM and did not like it. Tried the SS from Massey and hated it. Tried the GST from Kubota and really liked it and thought that was going to be my direction. Then rented a JD HST and used it on my property and knew within 10 minutes that is what I needed - the hst, not the jd. So I went to the Kioti dealer and tested a DK40 SS and a DK35 HST and operated them like I had back at my place, and it proved to me, that for me, I want the HST.

But you need to try them both to find out what fits you best. Good luck...

I do about the same with snow removal added in. I am glad I went with the HST just because of the loader and mowing. If everything is long straight runs gear is great, but for snow and mowing the HST is pretty handy.
