I am about at the end of my two year warranty period on my CK30 which has 511 hours on it now. The tractor itself has been quite dependable and I believe that the bugs are chased out of it. Here are some things that I will have checked for coverage:

- Clear dash cover has leaked in a lot of dust. Not water but lots of dust is piled up behind the lense.

- MLS valve controlling the 3ph had a habit of quivering like a tweaker while the machine is running with or without weight on it. This made hitching 3pt equipment a little dangerous as the quiver was about 3/8" at the balls. This seems to have disappeared in the last week after being pretty bad for more than 6 months.

Well, that's it. I will allow the mechanic to try and find other things but I can honestly say that the tractor has been very dependable and still starts right up and burns no oil. I have broken some things and fixed them myself with simple hand tools.

Are there any other known issues that I should check for? IE, a leaky oil cooler? Mine is dry.

You'll still have a 3rd year, parts only, on engine and drive line.

Engine includes crankcase, cylinder head, front gear case, valve cover pans, and all parts contained therein, plus the fuel injection system pump, nozzles, and high pressure lines
Drive line includes the clutch housing, transmission case, differential and final drive housing, and all parts contained therein , plus drive axles and external drive shafts.

Minor issue. Does your HST pedal work smoothly? Mine built up some corrision sitting over the winter months. It took a few days of soaking the shaft with PB blaster and working the shaft in and out with the small amout of play it has. With repeated soakings it finally loosened up and returns to the neutral position like new. Then I worked in some never seize around the shaft. I believe the newer models have an updated bushing.

The tractor sounds like it has been very reliable, but you may want to see a doctor about that quiver......... sorry, just had to......... :)

My clear dash cover did the same thing, filled with dust so I took it all apart, cleaned every thing real good and before I attached the clear cover to cluster I rolled out thin ropes of "plumbers putty" and put around edge and screwed the cover on and sealed off a couple of holes on back of the gage housing. Now it stays clean, even in the big dust storms when 'tillin!

Mine seems to need frequent lubricating of the throttle linkage at the injection pump to keep idle from sticking high...likely from sitting more than its used.
Maintenance I suppose as opposed to warranty.

So the tractor is at the shop. I set up an appointment long ago to make sure that turn around was quick and then when I get there they say that they won't get to it until later in the week. What's up with that?

The three point hitch's qquiver luckily repeated iteself so the mechanic was able to witness it. Hopefully I can get the machine back for this weekend's work. Big plans.

In the repair field thats the mechanics lingo for
" I have to rely on some minimum wage paying parts house for the goods going into your job. Then I have to call them back 4 times for the same part I ordered wondering where its at. They told me an hour and it really took two days. Repeat this several times a week. So now on every customer has to hear their job will take days instead of day."

Ah, I could see that happening if they knew what the job would be but in this case he actually wouldn't even start the job for several days. No problem though since I got a call today that it is ready for pickup.

Seems to eliminate the hopping 3ph there is a sensitivity adjustment that needed some tweaking. This is great news since no new parts were needed.

I get to pick it up on Friday and pull off the toothbar for some gravel hauling fun.
