Kioti CK30HST, Kubota BX-1500,
I know I asked about this before, but after trying to rock one at TS and reading in another forum about a guy using it on his 57 hp tractor:

Would like to hear from ck30 owners who actually have the KK 5' tiller.

I've owned a King Kutter 5' tiller for 6 or 7 years now. It works very well and I have never had any problems with it.
I have run my 5' tiller on my JD 850 several times and it ran the tiller without much trouble (tractor has 26 HP, 22 PTO HP).
The 5' tiller will work fine with a 30 HP tractor..

Thanks, that helps, still would like to hear from someone who actually has the CK30HST and the KK 5' Tiller together.

The KK is about 200lb heavier than what Kioti seems to recommend and I was checking one out at TSC, looks awfully heavy!

Tiller only weighs 690 pounds.
A CK 30 will lift that and barely know its back there..

Thanks, Vince. kioti doesn't have a tiller recommendation for the ck30, but the smallest one they have for the D35 only weights 386 pounds, that is approaching double the weight of the KK, and for a smaller tractor.

Just want to hear some actual experience with the CK30-HST

I have the CCM MR175 66" gear drive tiller that I use with my CK30 shuttle shift with no problems at all. According to CCM, it weighs 730 lbs.

I use a CK-20 to till my garden with a KK60". Works good. I would not hesitate to put one on a ck-30

I have a CK20HST and KK 48" tiller, bought last summer. Probably 30-40hrs.of use.
Only thing that bogged down the CK was some VERY heavy wet clay, just slowed way down with the HST in the wet spots so engine rpms stayed up. soon as you get thru the tough spots back to normal. Main thing I look for in determining speed ,is how fine I want the soil to be, and if I'm going to make multiple passes.
I picked the KK because its the heaviest for its size, which means it bounces less in hard pack, you and the tractor take less beating. And if you plan on doing a lot of work with it, it is gear drive which will out last chains many times over, all this for less money than any competitors.
Another thing ,if the TSC store has had one in stock for any lenght of time, you can probably negotiate a lower price with the store mgr. I have 6 TSC within 45 miles,3 had my tiller, 2 mgrs didn't want to negotiate, last guy was happy to get it off his inventory. Saved $200.

Thanks for the info, the nearby stores each have about 5 of them but I think they just got them in this year...
