I can understand that with a dealer trying to sell a tractor or maintain brand reputation, but I just don't think my friend would deceive me about something so significant. Maybe I am missing the point and you can explain further? Thanks!

How about I called the GM dealer with a truck that had a bad transfer case. It went bad because a clip breaks inside them and knocks a whole in it and the fluid leaks out the hole. This is a common problem. I asked the parts guy if he had heard of it and he said no. Guess what the reman transfer case had a hole that had been repaired in the same spot. They are told to say no they have not heard of that.
