I am looking at a kioti for sale at a non tractor dealer. The mechanic works on large trucks etc.
When checking the dipstick next to the rear PTO it showed traces of oil but no level. Under the drivetrain there was fresh wet oil. Looked like it came down the drivers left side forward of the drain plug.
Are there any known leak points in this area. It did not come from the hole on the bottom plate between engine and trans. Thinking they may have changed the filter for the hydrolics located above and spilled it. There is a side plate on the left side of trans it could be coming from but I dont think that’s it.
Where is the fill and what kind of oil does it take? Is the fill located in the inconvenient spot on top of the rear with a hook on the plug. You you would have to disconnect the backhoe fluid return connect to access the plug.
I guess I’ll look for an owners manual next.
