Clamp on Pallet Forks

Are these 43" clamp on pallet forks to much for a 16la loader on a tc35? It will mostly be used to move logs to cut for firewood and brush.(will not be used enough to justify buying quick attach). I just don't want to hurt my tractor by putting the extra load on the tractor.

I use that set for small projects where I keep the load weight under 500 pounds and have never had any bucket damage. Just watch what you are doing as far as weight picked up and be sure to have counter weight on the rear of the tractor.

I'd really reconsider the ssqa forks.

I used clamp on forks for a long time because my loader was not ssqa.

You get so much more lift capacity with ssqa forks because not only are they going to be lighter than your bucket + clamp on forks, but you are moving the load MUCC closer to the tractor. The visibility is also much better.

But if you insist on clamp on ones, keep them as wide as you can, cause the outside edges of your bucket is the strongest.

I used a 48" set like those on a New Holland 1720 with a Stoll FC 350 FEL...
Worked fine...
My FEL would only pick up 1000# and the bottom of the bucket was reinforced where the forks clamped on...
Good design...
Those reinforcement strips lined up with the cylinders...
You should be fine...
The front axle on your 35 is designed to handle the load a 16la can place on it...

I found that using 4 clamp on forks make the FEL more versatile in moving logs, limbs, and brush. Almost as good as a grapple except the loss of weight capacity being so far out.

I'm a fan of clamp on's especially for smaller tractors that rarely use them and can't easily go SSQA like my B7610.

Just two days ago I had to slide a water tank into my shelving.



Clamped them on, lifted it up, slid it in.

I probably use my clamp on's two or three hours per year. They suit my needs (low cost, no SSQA) very well.
