Class III Boomers - what\'s differant?

Are there any big differances in Class III Boomers, other than the obvious? I know that the 40 moves to 4 cyl. and the mid pto gets dropped. Is the 4 cyl. that big a deal over the 3?
I have no use for the pto....

What about the new model (50?)

I am looking at the "D" models non SS, 16LA and backhoe....

Thanks

Re: Class III Bommers - whats differant

Engine size, HP and availability of mid PTO are about it.

Mike, you will find the specification for 3PH lift capacity and loader capacity is slightly lower for the TC35D. I Think the Class IIIs having a full 10HP difference low-to-high is significant for lift capacity and PTO hp. If you want a heavier tractor, but not the horsepower, the TC35D may be for you. If you want every bit of power you can get in a HST tractor, then go for the TC45D. In the middle...40D. If any of these is not enough, wait until the 50 hp Class IV Boomers show up or go to the TN series right now. If you don't need the heavier frame, you might seriously consider the TC33D Class II Boomer. New Holland has a tractor for almost any job you want to do. I think you should choose a tractor based on what you will be using it for 80% of the time. For example: I love my TC45D because 80% of the time I need all its power and ability. The other 20%...well, I find myself wishing for a smaller or larger tractor. It's nearly impossible to buy just one tractor to fit all your jobs. I have jobs for three sizes of tractors, but I only have a budget for one./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Thanks! Balancing the budget, and the ole 80/20 rule is not easy...

BTW I was less confused by your posts once I realized your handle didn't refer to your being a Chinese Tractor Nut (Jinma+Man) Showing my ignorance.../w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Is there any info out on the Class IV?

Re: Class III Boomers - what\'s differant?

Mike, you have all the info I know. SPENCER200 reported that they will be called Class IVs and be 50 hp (or maybe 47 & 50). They are supposed to be on a bigger frame. My guess from a purely speculative standpoint is that they will be like the TN series, but with a hydrostatic transmission as an option. This is truly wishful thinking. Please...nobody quote me on this. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Also, I think it's pretty humorous that a contraction of my real name sounds like a Chinese tractor. I don't really have anything against Jinma tractors, but I'd rather be associated with the early Ford tractors like Jim Inman the "N-Man". After all, I do own a NAA in addition to my TC45D./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Jim "the N-Man" Inman says "the Class IV Boomers will be just like the TN's but with Hydrostatic"
