Has anyone noticed a small (very small in my case - couple drops per week) hydro fluid leak from between the rear diff housing and the 2 range gearbox on a class III HST Boomer? Basically look at the flange where gearbox/HST is bolted to the rear diff (look at the back part of the driveshaft, see where two sections above are bolted together). I've been doing a lot of heavy duty backdragging lately with my bucket teeth pushed into the dirt and my front wheels off the ground. This would tend to stress that section of the tractor. On the other hand it makes a great multi-ton hydraulic rake - great for removing vines and such. Spencer have you seen any problems here?
My loader bolts are all tight. I'm thinking of putting a small load in the bucket and my rear blade on the three pt. If I raise both up it would tend to compress the bottom center of the tractor. I could loosen and then retighen the loader subframe bolts. Maybe this would help keep that part of the tractor under compression.
Any thoughts?
