Cleaning - Hot water pressure washer

DID the same as mikeman1, works quite well. 140F water temp, no issues two years running, with one exception. Must use rubber feed (red) hose rated for HW. Hose connection will loosen slightly at brass supply valve if use is sustained for over an hour. Have acquaintance that uses an instant gas fired HW heater in his shop. Also successful results. Would not recommend exceeding 140F water temp w/ CW unit. Also have oil fired hot unit that I rarely use, too cumbersome, but water temp approaches STEAM, believe it could sever a finger or similar appendage (digit)

At 220 degrees grease sort of melts off, works great on the car motors also!

Are there any issues and/or tips about washing 'in car/truck' engines with a hot water system? Does the water temp change how you go about it (other than make it faster)? Anything you avoid etc?

Sorry for the delay....
I have never had any problems doing motors on modern cars. Everything seems sealed up very well and the hot water does not produce any additional problems. I mostly use a wider tip (25 degree or bigger) and don't get real close to anything and it is amazing how well it cleans things up! I also back off on electrical items (fuses, etc) but still clean them, just a bot more gently.
