Hey all, just an update on things around here.
1st my 4720 is running and working real nice.
My cold starts have gotten much better..as of now.
Something I have noticed which seems to help cold starts,
lately I've been running the tractor harder than usual
but nowhere near abuse!
If I shut the thing off right after a hard run..good & hot
it seems to start much better when cold.
These things cool down fast at low rpms and at idle.
So if you are getting a lot of white smoke at start-up
try heating it up before shutting it down, you may notice a difference?
My guess is they start to wet stack quick?
Finaly got the big stuff in here to bulldoze the north side of my crete.
took out about 1.5 acres of very large cotton woods.
Some of these trees got to be 75-100ft tall.
Needless to say I got complete trees laying with 14ft rootballs on them.
Big work for me and my Branson, but nothing we cant handel /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Still waitng to have them come back through and dig the crete,
this is a 3 mile dig and maybe 700ft on my land.
Their 1st pass removed all the trees and brush, so I had
them take the 1.5 out also.
Weve had flooding issues here, digging the crete is
a very big and costly project, finaly got everyone
on it to agree /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Long story short, tractor is running and starting fine,
I got alot of work to do, my 4720 is doing it's part very well!
All I've had to do to it is add fuel and keep the thing greased.
