What a find, a tractor
form!!! I don't know why I'm so surprized? But I need to know if I'm making a $15k mistake before hand. Four lots, less then three acers. 95% lawn mowing. My problem is my brother let me use his L1550. Or something like that! Anyway, he's owned it for 14 years and I got to use it for
two days...BIG FUN!!!
Spent the last three months looking at every
thing out there and, going with orange! Now,
GF-BX-B75? The GF would be perfect to mow and push snow off my small black-top drive,and might fit in the small shed.
The BX can do a lot of the land scapeing, but
no bi-speed or cruze. The B7500 means building a bigger shed and not shore about mowing my park-like setting. Also, getting my brothers L here for the bigger jobs isn't
O.K. because he uses it for work.
I do know there is no perfect tractor for every job, but any help
will be a big help!

The B7400..B7500..B1700..B2100..B2400
one of these model should do as you request.
Since 15k plays a role I would check out B7500 or B1700,but I'm going by New Hampshire prices and maybe you can get a better deal. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Have you taken a trip to your local Kubota dealer and try out a couple of models,/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif and ask as many question that you can think of.

As far as the shed goes I think most of us had to make improvement in one form or another./w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Get the Bx, put the extra $5,000 you will have left over into a mutual fund, and get that mowing done. Plan on a rear blade for the snow. No bi-speed, no cruise...no problem, these little tractors are so fun and easy to use you won't miss either one.

Clueless (no more)-My opinion (bought 7300 last year this time-would like a 7500 today, but am more than satisfied with choice) is the BX and TONKA are made for the same chores. I would definetly consider the 7300/7400/7500 for your needs. The Bota belly mower has outstanding cut-quality, the "B" has good stability, and handles the 3-point toys better than the BX. Tire choice is very important also. Contact Bob Prugh at Cyphert Equipment in Indiana, PA. He has all of these machines on the floor, and will give a great deal and service is outstanding.

It sounds like most of the threads I've read looking for this anwser.
You all love the tractor you have, or your trading for a bigger Kubota, so I know I'm on the right track with orange. Anyone own the GF or F front mowers out there? Can these push snow in 4wd with no chains? With the rear wheel steering will I miss not having power stearing?
This site is the most amazing thing I have found on the net!!!

Uh, Mike, I think that is gripe not grip, so I see your point. Actually I think we did have a spellchecker once, but it made the board too slow. Don't know how close you are to central N.Y., but if you want you can drive up and test my B1700 before you take the plunge.

Mike; You are on the right track and looking at right range of machines. One thing that I have learned (though, often in a rush, not always applied) - Compose messages within a document composer (MSWord, etc.), and then cut and paste the message into the forum.

IF you're looking at the BX, you can get a New Holland TC18 with more features, more comfort, more power, more 3 pt. capacity, more etc. for very comparable pricing!
IF you're looking at the B7500, you can get the TC18 or TC21 or TC21D with more features, more comfort, more power, more 3 pt. capacity, more legroom, more etc. for very comparable or lower pricing!
IF you have a GOOD New Holland dealer, since the dealer is VERY important in your buying decision, in your area - YOU owe it to yourself to check out the TC's.

To select the proper tractor you must be sure that you "know thy application". I bought a BX2200 on the assumption that I would be using it 80-90% for finish lawn mowing. I traded it in after 3 weeks for a 2910, after I quickly realized that I wanted the tractor to perform all sorts of lifting and pulling (non-mowing) tasks on my 11 acres. My error was in not understanding my needs (ok, my desires).

If I read your facts correctly, you have less than three acres total spread over 4 lots, and you are assuming that 95% of your work will be finish mowing. IF your assumption about the work distribution of the tractor is correct--ie, if you, unlike me, know thyself from the outset--I think the BX would be an excellent choice and that you don't need anything bigger or more expensive.

If you do need a bigger tractor, by all means look at blue also. If I had a good dealer close by, I may have bought one.

I have received my Boomer book. I'm considering going there
sence my Kabota dealer was so dam rude the other day. Dealers exact words,"Your not ready yet. Stop back when your ready to buy"
Do people walk in with their checkbook and say "I want that one" these
days? I talked to Steve Carver, before going to this (dealer) and it may be I was expecting the same curtious service Steve gave me!
Now if I buy at Carver,
and have a problem, this is the man I'll have to beg to do any
warranty work.
On the other hand my NH. dealer has not one
New Holland tractor on his lot. Just a bunch of new cubs and used everyting. And a big sign in the window "New Holland Dealer" I bought my wife's new SUV. after two months of research! Already on my 4th month of tractor shopping.
