Hey Guys,
Well, i finally made my decision to go for the kubota L2501 HST rather than the JD 3025 E and have had it for about a week now [8 hours on the meter], but could kick myself for not noticing b4 I bought it that the plexiglass pane covering the cluster panel has a gap at the bottom of about a quarter inch where it doesn't quite meet the black plastic housing. You can clearly see some wires through the gap. Anyway, I drove to the dealer [42 miles] to pick up some lube and engine oil and showed him a pic of the panel, and though he did say that he was sorry they too hadn't picked up on that before it was delivered, that it likely wouldn't pose a problem regarding water getting in to do any damage, since Kubota anticipates that most owners will at some point hose down their tractors and so everything is sealed up pretty well. {Am not sure if this answer gave me any leap of confidence, but I thought I'd ask if any of you had this situation and what your thoughts on it are.}
Other than that and the fact that there's no transmission oil dipstick, I'm happy with the purchase! Thanks in advance for any input.

My L2501 has the same gap at the bottom....but I don't see any wires there. I think the pane is just there to prevent damage from something hitting it like a branch or something...although my head usually winds up catching the damage in that situation. I do keep mine under shed when not using it. Enjoy the tractor, I enjoy mine and have used it a bunch. Did you get the attachment for skid steer equipment?

Thanks for replying. It's good to know I'm not the only one and that maybe it's not as big an issue as I'd originally thought.
Yes, the loader does have the skid steer attachment, which is gr8 and i'm already thinking about other attachments I'd like to buy in the future and which will likely keep me working for a living for a long time to come... lol.... Best of luck with your 2501 and thanks for letting me know about the pane.
