My drive disk is rusted on the crankshaft. I have tried soaking it and a gear puller and also some heat. Will I ruin any seals if I get it good an hot? Thanks in advance.

If you apply the heat to the disc hub you should be ok. I'm thinking it sits on a tapered spline. When it moves that first .005" it will jump right out at you.

If you can come up with a way to attach one a slide hammer may do the trick.

Ditto on splined crankshaft which will require heat & puller. Strike puller center bolt with a big hammer. IIRC RH side of 2 cylinder crankshaft has no seal only an oil slinger.

Jim is it a straight spline or tapered?

Have you tried the atf/acetone mix? Might be worth a shot. Mix it 50/50 and keep in a sealed container. Has worked for me when I thought nothing would. JM2C.
