First I would just like to introduce myself and by searching the web, most of the time I needed help/info this forum came up in the results. Me and a friend are trying to diagnose a clutch problem on his NH TC35S .

He uses it weekly and when he went to use it yesterday the the clutch will not disengauge. I'm familiar with tractors getting a"stuck clutch from sitting but it worked just fine last weekend. All the linkages are in correct adjustment and move freely but no clutch movement. I would think if the throw out bearing was bad there wouldve been some kind of warning it was going bad. Any suggestions guys?

What do you mean by no clutch movement? The pedal is locked and will not depress? You depress the pedal and the tractor still rolls?

My tractor has twice gotten the driven disk stuck to the flywheel. I start it up in a gear and eventually the driven disk breaks free. The whole time that I am working on breaking it loose the clutch pedal operates and feels normal. I have not had a pressure plate fail yet in 37 years of clutch based 4 wheeled vehicles including tractors. I did have an International that the clutch got stuck. It rolled up the equipment trailer and off the tractor shop for a new clutch. Landlord paid for that repair as it was his tractor. I do not recall if it was a stuck disk or if it was an actually pressure plate problem.

Hi and welcome.
Can you see the clutch disc? are you sure the clutch is not disengaging?
There are many threads on here about this subject, if it's a disc siezed to the flywheel then soaking them with penetraing oil has help some people.. others towed the tractor .. others have put the tractor against an unmovable object (big tree?) and by keeping the clutch pedal depressed it finally popped apart..or just block the pedal in down postion.. but before trying this read some of the older threads.

There are many more than these two.

If a throwout bearing seizes it will wear through the clutch fingers and create a situation where the clutch will not disengage. It will also feel like there is no resistance on the pedal as it is pushed. Did you hear any noises before this happened? Did you notice any hot smells? Any difference in the way the pedal felt just before this happened?

Sorry I'm late with the response but we got it going yesterday. Apparently my friends dad had gotten in some deep water and got some water in in the clutch area. He said he's had the problem before and came over, got up under it and pulled a plug and got it in the highest gear and tool it up and down the road. He pulled back in and it was as good as new! Thanks for the responses I got tho!
