I have a satoh bull that has lost power in high range and now is loosing power in mid range, is this a clutch issue and if it is can the clutch be adjusted? Thanks for any help I may get.
Usually if a clutch is slipping it will seem to be losing power, usually first experienced in the higher gears. Sometimes adjusting the clutch helps and sometimes the cure is a replacement (which involves splitting the tractor). If you happen to be in the US try contacting Valley Power They are quite helpful and information is free.
I believe the only adjustment is for pedal play. There's a threaded rod attached to the clevis attached to the clutch pedal. Of course if the adjustment is too tight the clutch will slip.
