clutch pedal on CK20 or CK2510 HST?

I don't see the need for a clutch pedal on a HST tractor.Can someone explain the use? I have a Kubota Bx1800 HST subcompact that has no clutch.Thanks for any help!

Its got a live clutch. Depressing the clutch half way disengages the PTO and not the hst.

Insteading of putting money into a hydraulically operated PTO system, they still use the clutch to engage/disengage the PTO. My DK does not have a clutch, but the PTO and the 4WD system is electric/hydraulic operated. It is just one of the different approaches to engineering a particular tractor line.

It only has a single stage clutch. When you depress the clutch it disengages the PTO and Hydrostatic drive at the same time. With the PTO engaged you only have to push the forward or backward pedals making it a live PTO.:thumbsup:

I only use the clutch when shifting from Low to High or going from 4wd to rwd. Oh, and it has to be in to start.
