Hello
Bilko, thank you for your reply, this iseki TX 1500 does not seem
to have a clutch cable,do you have any more thoughts please.
Thanks Andrew.

My TX1500 has a rubber inspectoin plug for the clutch on the right hand side of the bell housing. Remove it and look in there and operate the clutch pedal and observe the movement of throughout bearing against clutch fingers. My clutch fingers were worn out and caused it to not engage.

Sounds like the clutch is stuck. When leaving unused for that long, the pedal needs latched down. Look for a hook that will hook to the pedal when it is pressed down. If it doesn't have a hook, use a block of wood.
Do a search for stuck clutch. You should get several hits. They will tell you how to un-stick the clutch.

make sure the bellhousing is bolted up tight to engine.

There should be 30-40 mm free play on the peddle if it is more than that look in the inspection hole for worn fingers

mine wore them down when the release bearing ceased up

if it looks ok then there is an adjustment on the linkage that the peddle is connected to hope that helps

There are several ways to unstick a clutch.
1.Run a pto implement such as a tiller or mower with the clutch depressed. (worked a couple times for me)
2. Put in high gear & hit brakes evenly. Be careful that you don't turn sharply(worked quite a few times for me)
3. Split the tractor (I've had to do this a couple times)
