Clutch problem ?

3820i stopped going forward,or actually goes very slow forward and backward.Is there a clutch adjustment,or did we burn it up?

Can you actually stop the tractor if you apply the brakes?

Yes I can stop with the brakes. I adjusted the 3 nuts on the clutch peddle shaft,2short nuts 1 long nut in the middle.It gave me some peddle back but I'm not sure I've solved my problem.Feels like it's shuddering now just a matter of time it'll be gone again.?????????? How bad is a clutch job on one of these? and where can I get a service manual? tried the Branson site,forget about it.Wonder why they quit making the 3820i and what does the (i) stand for?

Does that tractor have the double clutch system yet? Meaning when you push the clutch part way down the tractor stops but the PTO keeps going and when you continue to depress the pedal all the way the PTO then will stop as well.. It doe sound like you fried the clutch

Have to split the tractor to gain access to the clutch. Sorry for bad news.

The 3820I is a single stage diaphragm type drive clutch. The I stands for independent as in independent pto, the pto clutch is a wet clutch-pack in the rear of tractor. As far as splitting the tractor to redo the drive clutch it is a pretty simple duty if you have done any previous mechanical work. I my self can do one with a loader in about 8hrs turn around but I have done quiet a few

OK I guess I'll have to split it ,does anyone know where I can get a service or shop manual for a 3820i Branson .Thanks to you guys for answering.

There's been electronic copies of some manuals posted on line (but for non USA models). There's a couple threads from earlier this year with links. If those won't do or you want the paper manual you need to get it from a dealer. If you don't have one that you're working with already you can have a dealer like Dave's Tractor or Mr Bitz ship it to you.
