Clutch stuck . . . Again

I posted last year around this same time abiut a problem with my clutch. It turned out it was stuck so I took it to a mechanic and he split the tractorand replaced the clutch and seals. Here's the old thread: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/parts-repairs/186619-gears-grinding-badly.html

I keep the tractor at a recreational property I own that is 6+ hours from home. It sits for months at a time so I keep the clutch blocked. I took it out today and it worked fine at first then the gears started grinding. Now the clutch is stuck and it wants to move with the pedal depressed. I spent $1700 in February getting it fixed. What should I do? I really dont have a lot of money to spend on fixing it. Plus, I don't want this to be an annual repair. Help

If it was stuck, it would have been stuck when you first went to use it, and gotten better. Instead, it was free, then got worse. I wonder if you need to adjust for the correct pedal free play.
Does your clutch pedal move 2-3 inches (or more) before you feel resistance? You can likely find an adjustment to make the free play correct. Don't know for your rig, but usually 1 to 1½" or so. If the free play is too much, fully depressing the pedal doesn't fully release the clutch.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will cjeck it out.
When I parked the tractor I left the pedal depressed (blocked) so i thought it may have gotten stuck while in use. That doesnt usually happen?

I just checked it and it is definately not the pedal. I disconecter the pedal and moved the lever manually and got the same result. I am wondering if cooler temps made it sticky.

I have a subsoiler on the tractor so I forced it into gear and dropped the subsoiler in rocky ground. I kept the clutch pedal depressed and it was spinning wheels.

Okay, I'm back in business. I looked it over more and found that there was a pin connecting the clutch lever that had slid mostly out. I tapped it back in an everything is back to normal.

Find out what is supposed to keep the pin in place and fix it. Probably a cotter pin or a snap ring missing. If it comes out again while you are using the tractor you may not be able to stop quickly. Could be quite a problem depending on what you are doing.
