I have an L3830 w/ std tranny. Lately while tilling, I'll push in the clutch and the tractor will actually accelerate - the engine does not speed up though. When I let off the clutsc it resumes normal speed.
It does not happen every time but I need to fix whatever is causing that.
It only happens when the pto is engaged.
A friend suggested adjusting the clutch? Does that sound right?
I appreciate comments on this.

When you push in the clutch, the tiller pushes you forward. Raise the tiller out of the ground and then push in the clutch and see what happens. I think that you will come to a stop unless you are tilling down a steep hill.
