I started to use my CO2 to do some MIG welding, and noticed that the gages themselves were rusting away, and the lens were faded. Took out the low pressure gage by turning to the left. I tried to take out the high pressure gage, by turning left. Guess what, it got tighter, so I turned it to the right to take it off. I was puzzled, as I had never seen a left hand gage.
Has anyone ever seen a left hand gage, and why do they use them. I had thought maybe that they use the left hand thread on the high pressure side so as not to confused anyone on which is the low pressure, and the high pressure. The welding supply people said they had never seen a left hand gage. I gave up on trying to find a left hand gage, and bought a flow meter.
It seems like, you never stop learning things, unless you want to.
