Heat is not a consideration on that run/application.

There are no safety or code things to consider with the run, bury it as far as you feel appropriate. You could safely put it just under the sod, just realize it's easier to damage, but coax is pretty tough to movement/etc. If you are hand digging just go down one shovel worth, if you are trenching or using some sort of power like a forklift fork, put it down a bit further since it's "free" :)

Most municipalities in the US have zero code when it comes to low voltage applications like this, a rural area with a lv code would be unheard of.

As in all things in life, there are trade offs. Sometimes, if you take in the big picture life thing, and plan on living at that place for the rest of your life.... maybe a little extra effort now will look like a good investment in the years ahead. Like maybe you want to run a Cat5e data cable out there, maybe a video feed for security cameras, maybe some low voltage control wiring, or some security wires so you can tell if someone is rifling thru your stuff whilst you sleep, etc. Or even, heaven forbid, a fibre optic cable out there.... [ I am dreaming, but I live in the boonies.... ] :)

I would sdd that it would be easier to use tubing such as SDR 11 which is used commonly for gas piping (yellow) and fiber optic (orange) and water utility line black). Roll it out in the trench with a gradual curve up at each end, makes pulling easy and no joints to leak, Seal the ends with electricians putty which you can remove to pull extra or new wires.

I agree with Daver1963 post too. I keep a 10,000 ft roll of pull string on hand for this kind of job, it is cheap and makes this work easier to do.

2" is #1 for 2-3 RG-6 cable or 1x RG-11.

RG-6 = ~ 21 db loss by 100 meters @ 1 Ghz
RG-11 = ~ 13 db loss by 100 meters @ 1Ghz

RG-6 should be enough... RG-11 is an expensive cable and connectors.

thanks for the replys I think Iam going to bury shallow 6-8 '' in conduit what i was thinkin about h20 in the conduit would be from condensation & that there would actually be less condensation shallow vs. deep ??? anybody know where to get this rg 11 coaxial & what it cost vs rg 6 ??? thanks

used to have a cable co small coax does not have to be in conduct unless you plan to change it or add to it you can make slit in the ground an poke it down put pipe under the drive way make sure to mark the location of it for later also best if you do use 130ft of pipe install 2 small (strong) strings or rope to pull your cable or push the cable through each 20 ft sec before you glue the joint same for 90 s and so on. oh and if you leave the end under ground just wrap it good with duct tape it will last longer than all of us.
